Can't Wait To Meet You

Dear Jocelyn,

I've been spoiled this week to be able to check up on you two days in a row. Your Grandma Young works down at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center and she's been able to hook us up with frequent ultrasounds. You looked so beautiful and you are getting so big. The technician estimated you weigh about 4 lbs. 10 oz. (give or take 1/2 a pound) so you are strong and healthy. I love watching the rythmn of your strong heart. I love to see how snuggly you are inside me. I can't wait to swaddle you up and hold you cheek to cheek. I can't wait to look into your beautiful eyes and to smell that sweet baby smell. You were also very cute sticking out your tongue for the camera! Your big brother was very nervous about this whole ultra-sound process. He is very protective of me and screams when he thinks anyone could possibly be hurting me. I'm sure someday he will be equally protective of you. You might hear him scream a lot when we first bring you home, he doesn't quite understand you are coming to our family and he wants all of Mommy's attention, but I know eventually he will be one of your best friends!

Yesterday I went for my routine doctor's visit and once again I was able to hear your precious heart beat. I worry about your well being all the time and it is always so reassuring to feel your precious kicks and rolls and to hear your heart beat. I've also started to feel you get the hiccups and I feel so bad for you when you get them, but I also love knowing you are alive and thriving inside of me.

I've also been buying you tons of cute new outfits and decorating your room. You will always be my little princess, all decked out in bows and nail polish and glam. I'm sure you will be spoiled just like your big brother Boston, but there is nothing a Mommy won't do for her babies! I can't believe you will be here within the next 7 weeks and I am so so excited to meet you!
